What we expect of our teachers 

LEWB’s (Learn English with Bathabile) mission is to provide quality education, outstanding service, professionalism, effective and efficient communication, and innovation to our students and clients. Our goal is to have a significant impact on South Africa’s educational system and ensure that those who are less fortunate are given the best education available. Teachers, therefore, play a significant role in our school community as they contribute to the success of the students and our organisation.

As a teacher at LEWByou will be expected to do the following:
  • Be present at work as required.
  • Maintain agreed standards of performance.
  • Comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all lawful and reasonable instructions.
  • Maintain set standards of integrity, conduct, and concern for the public interest.
  • Demonstrate commitment to LEWB’s vision, values, and goals.
  • Be active in your self-development.
  • Comply with all reasonable instructions and work as directed by your manager.
  • Create PowerPoint slides or other material for the company's LinkedIn page.
  • Supply management with monthly reports on student needs, problems, interests, and potential new services.
  • Participate in online training and meetings.
  • Contribute ideas to improve sales, services and operations. Work with management to implement improvements.
  • Meet deadlines and manage time well.
  • Go above and beyond the call of duty; this will benefit you in the long run as there are prospects for advancement as well as financial incentives in this role.
  • Keep up with company service information and updates.
  • Maintain professionalism, sensitivity and tact, to portray the company positively when dealing with difficult clients.
  • Adhere to your delegations, not exploiting or abusing any power or authority accorded to you.
  • Not give any false information or make any false declaration.
  • Consistently follow workplace procedures for documenting decisions for action, and the reason for taking those decisions.
  • Show reasonable care for LEWB’s property, resources, and funds and neither use nor approve their use for anything other than authorised purposes.
  • Contribute to a safe workplace by knowing and carrying out your responsibilities as an employee under health and safety legislation.
  • Maintain the standard of dress and general appearance required at work.
