Public Speaking Course At LEWB: Our Curriculum

We’re excited to announce that our public speaking programme comprises 15 modules spread out over a comprehensive curriculum designed to enhance your communication skills and build your confidence in front of any audience. Each module is carefully crafted to tackle different aspects of public speaking, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience.

The course begins with the fundamentals of effective communication, where you'll learn the key principles of conveying your message clearly and persuasively. As you progress, you will dive into topics such as body language, vocal variety, and the art of storytelling, all crucial elements that make for an engaging presentation.

Subsequent modules focus on audience analysis, helping you understand who you are speaking to and how to tailor your message for maximum impact. You'll practise techniques for managing anxiety, enabling you to approach each speaking opportunity with poise.

In later sessions, you'll explore the use of visual aids and technology to enhance your presentations. We'll also cover impromptu speaking, giving you the tools to respond confidently in unscripted situations.

Throughout the course, you'll have numerous opportunities to practise your skills in a supportive environment, receiving constructive feedback from both instructors and peers. By the end of the programme, you would have developed a compelling personal speaking style and the ability to deliver impactful presentations that resonate with your audience.

Notes are provided for each module. Moreover, on-site students also have access to electronic devices.

Course duration
It takes about 6 to 18 months to complete the course depending on how often a student attends sessions weekly. The more sessions you attend weekly, the sooner you will complete the course. Students who commit to attending multiple sessions each week can expect to accelerate their learning process, benefitting from increased engagement with both the material and instructors. Conversely, those who attend fewer sessions may find that their progress is slower, though they will still gain valuable knowledge and skills at their own pace.

Additionally, the course structure is designed to be flexible, accommodating individual schedules.
